As a child, Sandy Gould overcame challenges and discovered superpowers are real. Like the mission inspired superpowers that propelled Spiderman across the skyline – Sandy’s mission to unleash superpowers propelled him to achieve almost unimaginable success in the corporate world and beyond.

Sandy graduated as valedictorian and went to rabbinical school in New York to study Judaic Law, Philosophy and Psychoanalysis in his quest to decode how we connect and create. Then he worked in digital media companies leading Executive Search, Talent and HR at tech pioneering companies including RealNetworks, SecondLife, and brand leaders such as Disney and Yahoo where he partnered with Marissa Mayer to transform Yahoo into a mobile leader. After hiring 10,000 people in three years, building a billion dollar mobile business, and returning Yahoo's culture to greatness, he led the integration of Yahoo to Verizon/AOL to form Verizon Media.

Sandy helped lead VZM to declare profitability two years later and then worked on the integration as Verizon sold Yahoo to Apollo. Sandy now serves as Chief People Officer at GLAAD focused on accelerating acceptance and driving equality.

Throughout his 30+ year career—from negotiating the three-way merger of Verizon-Yahoo-AOL to coaching and partnering with the likes of Katie Couric, Abby Wambach, Bobbi Brown, and Marissa Mayer—he has helped many leaders discover, employ, and unleash their own superpowers.

In his new book, Sandy reveals the groundbreaking methods he’s used to coach high-powered CEOs and drive transformation at Disney, Yahoo, and VerizonMedia. Helping readers decode their life’s mission, he guides them to discover their own innate powers that will propel them to staggering new heights, personally and professionally.
