Who We Are
We work at the moments that define organizations.
Leadership transitions. Inflection points.
Periods where the cost of getting it wrong is high.
CKF Collective exists to ensure those moments lead to clarity, stability, and forward momentum, not disruption.
We partner with boards and executive leaders to align leadership and strengthen decision-making at the moments it matters most.
Our Collective
How We Work
Most transitions underperform because the organization wasn't ready, not because the leader wasn't. We focus on the conditions side of that equation: governance alignment, decision rights, onboarding infrastructure, and board readiness. That's where the real leverage is.
-
The sector's leadership crisis won't be solved by replicating what already exists. We build new models, new tools, and new measures of success, then give them away, because widespread adoption of better practice is the actual win.
-
Leaders of color are not an afterthought folded into a broader audience. They are the explicit design center of every program, tool, and engagement we build. Closing the sponsorship and visibility gaps that keep qualified leaders out of the room is not a nice extra. It's the work.
-
We name hard realities: in a board's governance gaps, in a leader's blind spots, and in the sector's own data. We do it without cruelty or evasion, and we hold ourselves to the same standard, including being honest about the limits of our own evidence.
-
We build relationships around shared accountability for outcomes, not transactional service delivery. Every partnership, with boards, funders, coaches, and sponsors alike, is built person by person, not recruited for optics.
-
Every claim we make about what works is grounded in original research, embedded evaluation, or field data. Our national study of 389 sector leaders and 67 qualitative interviews is the foundation. Every engagement we take on is evaluated rather than simply delivered and assumed to work.
